Experimental aircraft "Solar Impulse" takes off for the first intercontinental flight from Payerne, Switzerland, to Rabat, Morocco on May 24. The prototype aircraft without fuel will be transit in Madrid, Spain for technical checks and replacement pilot. Solar Impulse project aims to circumnavigate the globe in a solar-powered aircraft only, with a wingspan of 63.4 meters.
